Helpful Hint's From Scott
- Be through and up front with me about your situation. If there is something you are not sure I need to know, please ask me. Examples of details that are commonly omitted are: your source of funds, number of mortgaged properties you own, new credit accounts opened in the last 90 days, legal marital status, etc.
- The loan process is one that is interactive. If you are going to be out of town during the transaction, please let me or one of my team know how to get in touch with you, or when you will return.
- Don't make any large purchases on credit until we have discussed it first. It is customary for lenders to take a last look at your credit balances, looking for higher credit obligations. Don't let anyone check your credit if possible. Be sure all bills are paid on time and don't bounce checks.
- Keep complete records of all financial transactions, this includes: receipts, copies of cleared checks (front & back), bills of sale, redemption documentation, etc. Transferring funds from one account to another is acceptable, however we may need to see a paper trail that documents the source of funds.
- Maintain your employment status until the loan has funded. We will make a last minute employment verification. Remember the loan is not "closed" until it has funded, and the money has been dispersed.
- If you have any questions, at any time, please do not hesitate to contact me or one of my team. Proper communication during the loan proces is crucial to ensure a smooth and timely closing.
